a couple of months ago, i made this amigurumi bear, which sadly didn’t turn out to be my favourite. besides the fact that the ears are uneven and the nose area is too big, i figured that i didn’t like his eyes. so, i have done a major crochet surgery;) on the teddy to change his eyes. i’ve cut him up from the back neck. here’s before and after:

eyes do make a difference! now this is more of my taste and i like him very much. (i added the scarf to hide where i opened him up.)
i think this is one of the fun factors of knitting. a little detail makes a big difference in the finished object. change of colours, yarns, buttons, eyes, etc. (and even mistakes!) turns each one to be unique of the knitter’s.
