オンラインの編み物のグループではよくknit along (KAL)/crochet along (CAL)というのが行われています。パターンを一つ選んで、みんなそのパターンを一定の期間内に編もう、といったイベントなんだけど、私も今回Ravelryのfingerless glovesと帽子のグループのKAL/CALに参加してみました♪….というか、KALにはとあるレースのショールを作るのに参加していたんだけど、その時はレースにさける時間がとてもなく、途中で断念してしまったのでした。でも今回は帽子もfingerless glovesも完成☆
まずはfingerless glovesから。
Jasmineというパターンで、Ravelryから無料でダウンロードできます。手首の部分がもっとシンプルな男性用バージョンJamesというのもあるようです。一段一段ダイアモンドができあがっていくのが楽しいパターンです。3mmの針で私の（平均より大きい）手にちょうどいいサイズでした。
帽子のグループで作ったのは、Nubby Brim Clocheというかぎ針の帽子。こちらもRavelryからのフリーダウンロードです。
オリジナルはリボンなんだけど、私はお花をつけてみました♪
パターンより細い糸を使ったので、６段目の後もう２段増し目の段を続けて、６４目まで増やして、あとはパターン通りに編んでみました。
他の方々の完成品を見ると、同じパターンでも色、糸の種類etc.が違うといろいろな表情があるんだなぁと、できあがりの写真がアップされるのが楽しみになります。だからKAL/CAL、人気があるんですね。８月のfingerless gloves CALに選ばれたパターンがとても私好みのものなので、また来月も挑戦したいと思いますb

２足目の靴下が出来上がりました♪またまたsensational knitted socksから、little shellというパターンです。複雑そうに見えてけっこう簡単で、できあがりもかわいいです。
今回はつま先から編んでいくものにチャレンジしたんだけど、普通に伏せ止めをしたのでは足の部分がきついことが判明；）はけないことはないのだけど、かかとを回るのがかなりきつい。ということで、ゆるめに仕上がる止め方を調べていたら、次のような止め方をwendy knitsで発見しました。
表２目を編み、編んだ目を両方とも左の針へ戻して、２目一度。*表１目編み、編んだ目と先ほど２目一度した目を左の針へ戻し、この２目を２目一度*。*から*を繰り返す。
次に編む予定の靴下のswatchをこのやり方で止めてみたら、確かに、普通のよりゆるい感じでした。これでもっと履きやすい靴下に仕上がるかもしれません：）
ちなみに、糸はcrystal palaceという会社のpanda cottonといって、バンブーとコットンのミックスです。とても履き心地がいいし、編み心地（？）も良いです。他にもたくさん色の種類があってどれもかわいい。実は、この色を選ぶのもさんざん迷いました。１足分使い切ったので、次はどの色を選ぼうかと今から楽しみです。（まだまだ数足分の糸が家にあるというのに（苦笑））
